Carefully cut by hand, the center stone echoes the form of its silver setting, as do the narrow ones on either side. All the stones are beveled, and play with angular forms. On each side of the bracelet, a triangle of brilliant blue, natural turquoise amps up the wattage, emphasizing the rich depths of the sugilite. The handsome shadowbox setting accentuates the sculptural forms and substantial thickness of the fine stones. Darkening the background adds drama, and it is enlivened by carefully placed “stars” of silver.
